Most DAWs on Linux were ported from other platforms or designed decades ago. ForgeDAW is different: it is built from the ground up for modern Linux, starting with the workflow that matters most — editing vocals.
The goal is simple: editing audio should feel as direct and effortless as editing text. Split, drag, fade, export. No friction.
From that foundation, ForgeDAW grows into a complete production environment — recording, comping, mixing, and beyond.

Vocal Naturalizer, ForgeMaster with streaming/broadcast/podcast profiles, Mix Doctor, FX Rack with parametric EQ (soft clip, mid/side, A/B, custom presets), Dynamic EQ, sample editor, punch & comp recording, tempo map, buses & pre/post-fader sends, volume/pan/send automation, export loudness checks, WAV + MP3 export, and Phase 4 mixing complete (0.9.25–0.9.31).
v1.0 — next
Tempo/time-signature editor UI, deeper automation capture polish, and Phase 5 production foundations.
v1.x — later
Plugin hosting (LV2, CLAP, VST3), MIDI and piano roll, virtual instruments, and advanced production features.
